In 2007, DRS assembled a team to evaluate, critique and advise the agency on our electronic communications. While we incorporated accessibility rules and practices in our Web site and other online publications – we needed team members to let us know what works and what does not work.
When you build a Web site to be accessible to all you need a diverse group on your team to advise you. We asked the opinions of people from all walks of life and disabilities and those who work with people who have disabilities. As you explore this Web site, we hope your experience is complete, easy and informative. Please, feel free to let us know what you think, or if you have any difficulty using this Web site. We want to constantly improve this Web site for you - E-mail comments.
Bill Austin

When Bill isn't masquerading as a Web Transformer hero, he is an accountant for the agency. Bill offers valuable advice on how a person with mobility issues surfs the web.
Hope Crumley

Web Transformer Hope is the Programs Manager for DRS' Services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Hope teaches us how to communicate best with those who have hearing loss.
Angela Davis

Angela is a Web Transformer with a vision. She is the coordinator of Assistive Technology for the Division of Visual Services. She understands the need to ensure that technology provides the services required to the visually impaired.
Brett Freeman

Web Transformer Brett is the state office's Customer Service Representative. He provides valuable information because he answers DRS' main phone and knows what are the most common questions clients ask, as well as great insight to our web pieces' usability.
Vicky Golightly

When Vicky is not providing great evaluations, she is the Public Information Officer for the Oklahoma Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. Web Transformer Vicky uses a screen reader with her computer and is also our expert on braille.
Jason Hargis

Jason Hargis is not only Web Transformer but he is also Oklahoma School for the Deaf's Webmaster and all around computer expert. Jason provides insight to the Deaf community, but also technical knowledge on many things related to accessibility.
Paul Miller

Paul Miller is a Rehabilitation of the Blind Specialist for the Division of Visual Services and is also a power user with a screen reader. Paul is straight forward with his comments, such as the time when the Webmaster did not have the language declared properly on the Web page. This caused the screen reader to read the page with a British accent. Paul did not care for the accent and kept testing the Web page with the Web master until the bug was worked out. On a side note, Vicky liked the British accent.
